BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has announced the cancellation of Asia cup 2020. Previously it was scheduled to be held in September month. Ganguly started a statement on Instagram live programme ‘sports talk’. He didn’t specify the reason but its conduct was uncertainty due to COVID pandemics. As India has the recorded under third-largest infectious with more than 7.5 lakh cases reported so far. He stated in social media that No one knows the range of infection spread; he also stated that there are well in preparations to perform on the stadium. He also stated that all the stadiums are open but players are not moving on as there are high chances of infection spread.
YOUNG EMPIRE NITHIN MENON INDUCTED:
Nithin Menon youngest empire got inducted in International Crickets council’s elite panel of umpires for the year 2020-21. He took the place by replacing England’s Nigel Llong. He is just 36 years old and he managed in 24 ODIs and 16 T20Is. He is marked as the third person from India after Srinivas Venkataraghavan and Sundaram Ravi selected for past years. Menon quit playing cricket when he was 22 years and had become a senior umpire.
SACHIN TENDULKAR INITIATED A PLASMA DONATION CENTRE:
Indian legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar inaugurates a plasma donation centre at seven hills hospital in Mumbai to treat COVID patients, as there is a rise in cases of around 22,000 cases in the last 24 hrs.
